    JUS BROTHERS M/C

      Defense  Fundraiser

The Stockton chapter of the JUS BROTHERS Motorcycle Club hosted

a "Defense Run" on March 5th, 2005 in Stockton.  This is a chapter where

for 15 years the focus of their runs has been to provide toys for children

in need and other charitable causes.  They've also put on poker runs to

provide good, clean entertainment for the biker community as a whole.

A defense run is something new and unexpected but one thing that is

apparent is the fact that this is a very close club and brotherhood means

something to the JUS BROTHERS.   This event was just one example of

brothers taking care of brothers.  The day before the event it rained

buckets but as always, this was a  "rain or shine"  happening so I was

determined to be there regardless of the weather.  No need to worry though,

because Saturday dawned clear and the day was sunny and warm, almost

as though someone was looking down from above and saying,  "A righteous

cause deserves righteous weather".  This event was held to raise money for

the legal defense of two Stockton chapter members who, unfortunately, were

simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.  The event started at noon and

the turn out was impressive.  The JUS BROTHERS put on a great feed with

a tender and juicy steak dinner and Biker Butch took care of the music end

of things.  There were so many clubs represented that I'm not going to even

try to list them all and of course lots of independent riders were there also.

As with all J.B.M.C. events this was open to all riders and everybody was

welcome.  What was the admission price to attend this event you ask?

Free, nada, as in it doesn't cost a penny.  There was a donation can and it

was strictly up to each person attending as to if, or how much they wanted to

kick in.  As I said before, "everybody" was welcomed and there was a very

impressive police showing too.  Although the cops preferred to stay just

outside and take pictures of everybody else socializing.  Later they did do

some socializing too, but at a distance, as they stopped a lot of the riders as

they left, I assume to talk and be friendly and maybe to share some of the

pictures they'd been taking of the event.  It's always good to see our tax

dollars at work and knowing how well they're being spent.   Much thanks

goes to all the folks that attended this event.  Everyone seemed to have a

great time while showing that the biker community cares and will always come

together for a worthwhile cause.   To learn more about the JUS BROTHERS M/C
