Wheelin' & Dealin' with the
JUS BROTHERS M/C
14th Annual Poker Run
The Stockton Chapter of the JUS BROTHERS M/C is well known
in Northern California for their annual poker and toy runs. This
year the sign-in count was a shade under 200 for the April 17th
poker run and no doubt the less than perfect weather had a little
to do with the light turn out. However the almost 200 brave souls
that did venture out that Saturday had a hell of a good time.
The run route was scenic and passed through the foothills east
of Stockton for over 100 miles and ended up at the VFW hall at the
Stockton airport. Plenty of vendors were on hand and brother Butch
took care of the music end of things and kept some good tunes
rolling out all afternoon.
The President of the Stockton chapter of the JUS BROTHERS,
Rebel, has done quite a bit to promote unity amongst the clubs in
this area and you could see his efforts have payed off by the large
variety of different clubs represented. They came in all flavors
from three-piece patch to one-piece patch and all mingling and
enjoying the day, weather aside. Of course there were plenty of
independent riders too and a few H.O.G. members showed up. The
J.B.M.C. truly appreciates the support.
After everybody returned from the ride they got busy with some
fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and all the fixin's. Good chow and
lots of door prizes are a trademark of JUS BROTHERS runs. Right
after dinner Rebel got busy as he handed out J.B.M.C. trophies and
some pretty cool prizes like a brand new, custom painted, minibike
chopper and a real nice bike jack.
All in all a pretty successful run and despite the cloudy, breezy
day, the weather actually waited until the run was over, and hopefully
most of the riders were home before it opened up and we got some
lightning too. I gotta point out that this run is done around the
third weekend in April every year and it's rare that the weather acts
up. It's usually pretty nice each year so mark your calendars and
plan on doin' a little wheelin' and dealin' with the JUS BROTHERS
next April at the 15th annual.
