One Lucky Day

JBMC 8TH ANNUAL POKER RUN

The Jus Brothers M/C (Stockton Chapter) host this poker

run every year in mid April, and rain or shine it's always

fine.   This year was different only in how things started off.

The weather turned perfect but our parade still got rained

on when five days prior to the run, some punk-ass chicken-

shit shot Jus Brother Pat, owner of the Gray Goose Lounge,

while he was tending bar.  Pat ended up with four holes in

him and still attended the poker run, a little sore to be sure,

but jus' not a man that's easy to keep down.  No surprise that

Pat's new name is "Lucky".  (Somebody suggested Superman

but Lucky stuck).

The run route this year went east of Stockton into the

foothills and ended back at the Gray Goose.  The temps

were in the mid 70's and ya couldn't have asked for a

better day to make the 90-mile ride.  Surprisingly the

attendance wasn't as high as we've had in past years, but

the 250 riders that did show had a helluva good day. For

$10 they enjoyed a scenic ride, had a BBQ steak dinner,

a chance for trophies and door prizes, run pin, slow races,

and bite the weinie, danced to music by the Bourbon Street

Blues Band, and last but not least a chance to get your

picture taken by the boyz in blue.  Yeah, the cops were

across the street taking photos and videos of everybody

having SO MUCH FUN.

Jus Brother "Who" did all the photography for us at this

event, and as you can see, he did a fine job.  At one

point I even saw him across the street looking through one

of the cop's cameras.  I think he was showing the cop how to

use it.  Hey, we're always glad to help. Anyhow, the day went

great, nobody got hassled, and the cops made some easy money.

All in all, a fine day for everybody.  Jus' the way we like it!
