Dirty Bikes are welcomed,
NOMADS Style, on Oct. 21st, 2006
By Irish Mike
OK, what do ya get when ya have a sunny day, 3 bands
playin' some kick-ass tunes, a killer BBQ, a topless bike
wash, a tattooist and other vendors, some door prizes, a
full bar & a couple hundred bikers? Well yeah, you
guessed it, A JUS BROTHERS M/C party, NOMADS style!
Everyone was welcome at this "open house" party hosted
by the Nor-Cal Nomads chapter of the JUS BROTHERS M/C
at their new clubhouse in Oroville, CA. Quite a diversified
crowd showed up with lots of independent bikers and
clubs ranging from religious to, Mmmm well, not so
religious. Outlaws and family clubs partied side by
side and all enjoyed the hospitality set forth.
Riders started showing up about 2pm which was the kick-off
time stated on the flyer for the doors to open. The flyer also
said, "No weapons, No pets, No attitudes and ADULTS only".
That was the theme of the day and the good times rolled.
Stinky Steve was manning the BBQ and he takes his
cookin' serious. The chow was absolutely first class with
a menu that included several kinds of meat, several kinds
of salad, some great, secret receipe beans, peach cobbler,
and to tell the truth there was so many dishes on the menu
that I can't really remember everything offered. The neat
part was that it was served up buffet style so ya could
heap your plate up and get all you wanted.
Wasn't long before the bands, started rockin' inside the
clubhouse and for all those thirsty dancers, Big Jon and
his helpers had the bar going strong with everything from
beer and liquor to bottled water and ice cold soda.
The bands that played through the afternoon and inta the
evening were, "Tomo's Blues", "Morningwood Blues", and
"Whitewater Blues". Blues and Rock and they all were hot.
Outside there were several vendors including "Righteous Ink
Tattoo's" which I wanted to visit but my meager budget didn't
allow for it on this trip. I'll definitly be more prepared next time.
The four bikini clad young ladies were offering bike washes for
all you riders with "really dirty bikes" and for a small extra
donation they did their wet & soapy work topless so ya ended
up with a "really clean bike" and some fine eye candy too.
That's definitly partying NOMADS style!
Not sure how many riders actually showed during this event.
It lasted long into the night. Some stayed for the duration and
many came and went. Later in the evening, Portagee, the Prez,
gave away some pretty slick door prizes. To be sure it was
well attended and the folks who did hang out and stayed
late got a great fireworks show and for a grand finale the four
bikini girls put on a pretty hot, adults only, show which seemed
the perfect way to end a real biker party and proves, once again,
that "bikers really do have more fun than people!"
Looks like the new clubhouse was christened proper and the
open house was a smashing success. So much so that it will
now be an annual event. If ya wanna attend next Oct. be sure and
stay tuned to the JUS BROTHERS M/C website for dates on this &
all the many other JUS BROTHERS events. The website can be
viewed at: http://www.jusbrothersmc.com and be sure and sign
the guestbook when you visit. The Nor-Cal Nomads want to
thank all who attended and they look forward to another get
down party in 2007, and remember, dirty bikes are welcome!
